Aluminum rod continuous casting and rolling is a process used to produce aluminum rods with a high degree of precision and consistency.

Components of Aluminum Rod Continuous Casting and Rolling Line
The production line is mainly composed of a medium frequency induction aluminum melting furnace (with a permanent magnetic stirrer), continuous casting machine, auxiliary hydraulic shear, straightening machine, continuous rolling mill, lubrication system, cooling system, rod closing machine, and electrical control system.
Features of Aluminum Rod Continuous Casting and Rolling Line
1. This line is used to produce pure aluminum rods, Al-Mg, and Al-Mg-Si alloy rods with a diameter of 9.5mm or 12mm, which has a high conductivity.
2. Round-shaped rapid energy-saving melting furnace with electro-magnetic stirrer adopted, easy for aluminum and alloy to be mixed evenly and refined.
3. In-line degassing & filtering process make it possible to supply high-quality molten aluminum alloy for casting.
4. The cooling system of the five-wheel continuous casting machine is divided into sections and four zones by water spraying, including adjustable outer cooling, inner cooling, inner side cooling, and outer side cooling. The cast bar is cooled evenly and efficiently to ensure crystals are in dense and even distribution. The special construction of the casting wheel and cooler ensures that the casting wheel is not liable to deformation and is easy to be installed and dismounted. It is easy for cooling water to be adjusted and maintained.
5. Horizontal casting mode is adopted. During the casting process, molten aluminum alloy flows smoothly into the casting wheel from the tundish, ensuring an orderly flow.
6. Steel tape pneumatic tension and press mode ensure continuous and adjustable tension and pressing force.
7. Automatic heating and adjustable induction heater ensure that temperature is controlled precisely. Before the aluminum alloy cast bar is guided into the rolling mill, it is heated with the induction heater up to the process temperature before being rolled so as to melt the strengthened phase in the bar to ensure that during the rolling process, the aluminum alloy cast bar is under best condition and the strengthened phase is separated out evenly. As a result, good electric and dynamic properties can be achieved.
8. Continuous rolling system is provided with two rollers plus three rollers rolling mode, which is conducive to rolling, pressing, and de-formation of cast bar. This system ensures that the cast bar is rolled evenly and gets full deformation to make good properties and high-quality products. Additionally, the rolling mill has a function of stopping in case of rod pile-up.
9. Continuous quenching unit makes aluminum alloy rod be produced in a continuous process, which ensures aluminum alloy rod is fully and evenly quenched thus the quality of the product is highly improved.
10. Unique twin-basket coiler with a trunk and rolling wheel for a direction guide can pre-shape the aluminum alloy rod to reduce or avoid scratches to its surface.
11. As a unique coiler is provided, a grease-free aluminum rod can be produced, which has a ready market now.
